I thought it was a Hiawatha thing. "By the shores of Gitchy Goomy..." at the start of the Mississippi River in Minnesota.

I live my life through movies and songs. I was actually thinking of a line from the movie "Devine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" The four main characters had names given to them as children in their little "we are more than men will ever know" sisterhood group. One was princess something or other and I think Gitchy Goomy was part of her name, or perhaps it was something else. Everyone should really read the book and watch the movie. I think I am somehow a part of this movie, but noone consulted me regarding royalties.
