dear new butler:
i need you desperately! please go to the store and buy the following items:
1 bag of sour cream and onion chips
1 pint of ben and jerry's brownie ice creamplease also bring a pair of clean socks.
when you are back from the store, you can do my laundry, clean my house, and make that stir fry and those curried lentils i've been meaning to make before the vegetables rot.
i'll be on the couch napping if you need me.

after 3 false starts (where i walked into my room, looked at my pants, then walked back out), i finally managed to put on pants.
i have clean socks but they're black. please bring clean white socks.
i will go to the store in your absence, but please hurry! the broccoli is not getting any younger, you know

it was terrible at the store!
they are out of brownie ice cream.
if only you were here you could have gone to every grocery store until you found it, on sale. i couldn't drive to those other stores - i was finding the movements of the other drivers remarkably startling.
for now i will eat my chips and the cookies and cream ice cream and long for the day when you, jeeves, my butler, will be mine.
ps - please take back the empties too, i'm starting to look like an alcoholic!

I'm coming over, I would love rhubarb muffins.
This is when we need one of those lifelike robots (Bicentenial man? Was that the movie?). We could make sure the factory made a lot of them so we could each have one.
If you live where there is a Cumberland Farms (is it a convenience store in the east - see http://www.cumberlandfarms.com/store/) they have a really awesome ice cream - Chocolate Lover's Passion. But, unfortunately, it is popular so it sometimes sells out...
