thanks em! i saw this on the news..i agree with gabbi..pretty cool, man!! it would be neat to see, but i'm still glad there isn't a proliferation of these stinky flowers. :)

> amy :)Proliferation ain't an issue. They're not too common even in their native Sumatra. I'm not sure if they're endangered or not. It takes something like a decade to grow the tuber up to the point that the plant blooms and it's a happy accomplishment for the botanist who raises one in a greenhouse. Pretty cool. If I lived closer to one, I'd probably be lining up myself! But yes, at home I think I'd rather do an amaryllis instead. :)
