I'm toooo much 'heart' not enough 'think' and 'be'

<<< I am prying my heart loose from being in charge of my reasoning and my choices, changing its role to just one on the team doing my thinking and making my decisions. Thought and decision are blended processes with uncertain results; thank God! The world is an uncertain place. I can "bob and weave" better with my blending of feelings (my heart & gut), motives (my state of being and who I am), and logic (my ability to compare lotsa info w/o feelings clouding the vision) into an intelligent-soup that works better under uncertainty.

It's not automatic. I gotta work at it.

Hi Rod. I think about this stuff too. The balance between heart, thought, and just being. I'm always trying to suppress my heart, and have the dubious attitude that it's a liability and not an asset. I think I was British in a past life.

<<< thanx for the response... As children, our whole lives were based on feelings, partly because we could. I propose that because Adults function much more advanced than that, with logic and motive, I suggest balance is thus important. Czek it out. Doesn't operating solely from our feelings send us on a sort of out of balance condition in our lives? I see those operating out of balance seeking comfort exclusively and seeking out there beliefs instead of using beliefs as the filter that they are. Seeking comfort exclusively, leaves our adult lives messy. I know. I had a messy kinda life, but I'm better now.......
