Nobody is forcing you to read other posts, and most especially, nobody is making you decide to reply. If it's unpleasant for you, as constituted, you could just decide to ignore Babble altogether.

Eh? I'm not getting your meaning.
I was asking ron1953 to abide by the language guidelines and not post things like f****** ps*****. bob suggested we might raise civility issues amongst ourselves, rather than depending on him all the time.

Sorry Lar, blame it on the lateness of the hour. I was responding to the sudden er, escalation of the poster, not your post.
So sorry.

Hmm, good insight there about how it started. I happen to believe that sensitivity is a gift.

Wowsa, I can feel your anger in your posts. Perhaps a nice cup of herbal tea might help?
And whatever your views on the civility rules, I personally request that you refrain from using offensive language. I am offended by cursing on a public forum.
By the way, I don't believe that the "you too" part of your post is an accurate representation of my posts.
Please take care,
gg

You have it half right. Highly sensitive people have both a gift and a special burden. Like all gifts, there is a negative aspect to it, particulary when approximately 80% of the general public does not possess such a gift (Elaine Aron, 1997).

Are you saying that you agree that my comment was not so agregious and that my intentions were simply point out that Honeybunch was, obviously displaying an amazing amount of intolerance that, to me, betrayed a lot of underlying rigidity?

And believe it or not, I am sensitive, too. That's why I'm reacting to this barrage of attacks over honeychurch's haughty response.

No problem about being this way either.
What about that?!!
I totally support you.

what is going on that you are on this track?
Ron, chill.
Take breath
what are you really trying to do?
This is a cool site and full of wonderful people why not give it your best?
what would be the problem?
Kindness is golden.

Jai:
Thank you for your comments and support. I think a lot of folks need to be shaken out of their naive and childlike views of a perfect world without conflict. Working through the conflict is where the real resolutions are to be found, not by avoiding it. Wars, cultural conflict, etc. are absolute proof of this.

In reply to Ron 1953 what happened?, posted by Jai Narayan on August 30, 2004, at 23:23:43
Jai:
It all started because a poster with the dubious handle of "Miss Honeychurch", took offense because I indicated that she was over-sensitive.
I appreciate your advice to chill, etc.
