hi all,
I guess I'm feeling kind of whimsical right now...AND I'm having serious candy cravings...and I started wondering what kinds of candy people prefer.Does anyone remember those candies from the 70's -- it was a little plastic treasure chest filled with small candies that resembed Flintstones Vitamins? It might have been called "Treasure Chest." My sisters & I used to get those at the corner drugstore and we LOVED THEM.
There was also a small plastic trash can filled with similar candies; the can resembled Oscar the Grouch's can on Sesame Street.
I don't know if they'd still taste good to me, but it would be fun to have one for nostalgia's sake!

PS - I also used to love RainBlo bubble gum.

Dark chocolate - semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate. I also love dark chocolate with orange cream filling and dark chocolate with rasberry cream filling.

I used to be partial to Starburst. And snickers, of course. And I used to eat a lot of fruit flavored life savers (favorite = orange). And milk duds. Basically I loved candy as a kid. If I had extra money, I *always* spent it on candy.
Right now, I eat almost no candy. :( It's part of my stupid special diet. But if I were eating candy, I'd want to eat some kind of chocolate covered candy bar.
I do remember those treasure chest candies!

I do remember those! Love these thoughts - brings back warm, fuzzy memories. What about wax lips and candy necklaces? Try these links - they DO have RainBlo but I haven't found the little chests, yet...have fun :))!

i LOVED the sesame street candies!
I'm a total chocoholic though. I love chocolates. Plain old hershey's is my favorite.
But, that said, I just have a wicked sweet tooth. Right now I'm eating salt water taffy! Heh.

I remember the little treasure chests and trash can candies! What a funny memory!
How about Lik M Aid? Those little packets of sugary dust that you would eat with the white stick! Or how about candy necklaces? I remember wearing those in the summer and it would turn your neck different colors! Or what about Now and Laters?
Ok, I look like a complete sugar junkie now! :)

hi 10derHeart,
thanks for the web sites! I will have to check them out. I used to love the candy necklaces too - I recently found some & bought them for my nieces, but they were not overly impressed. I guess every generation has their own special candy!JenStar
