I'm working in a library now. :) My first job in about two years. It feels really good to know that soon I will be able to make more steps toward independence.

Yea! I'm so happy for you! I've always thought that would be a good job. I'd probably get in trouble for reading all the time instead of working though. ;-)
Keep up the good work (towards independance). If I can get there, anyone can.

I work in a very small library. It is the most wonderful place. It is orderly, there is all the information you could want, the people who come to the library are intellegent and interesting (and so thrilled with whatever you can do for them). I hope you like your library as much as I do mine. How many hours? What will you be doing?

I'll be working part-time, which is perfect for me! I have had full-time jobs and they seem to throw me out of balance. According to my job description I will be shelving books, working with the Microfische, answering phones, filing, collecting fines, helping people find the info they are looking for, and things like that. All and all it seems like it will be something I can do. :) I'm happy about it!

So does this mean I can bug the two of you for research articles??? :^p Just kidding. (I already have a friend who works at my school's library who I call, lovingly, my library b*tch because she is so great about running books back and forth for me and has occasionally removed late fees!)
Despite my library "phobia" (I really don't know what that's all about, but it gets better with repeated exposure), I would love to be able to work in a bookstore or library. Books! Woo hoo! Course it would be hard to get work done with all the browsing I like to do.
Enjoy,
gg
