UConn has a "corpse flower" that's about to open. It's the tuber that grows a single 5-6' tall garish blossom that smells like rotten meat. They've got a web cam on it and are giving daily updates. I'm fascinated by this thing, and apparently so are a lot of visitors. It blows me away that nature produces such utterly wild things. I just love big freaky natural things. Like huge birds and redwood trees.
