OH MY GOSH!!! ((((Pip)))) He's adorable!!! Look at his little blue eyes!
You've inspired me to get a new kitten. My cat is 2 and he's about ready for a little playmate. Although, I'm leaving this up to fate. If someone has an unwanted kitten or stray, I'll get one. If this doesn't happen, it wasn't meant to be.

Hi Penny,
He is so cute! And already using his scatchie post without bribing him with treats like I have to do with my three grown kitties.

He is just too cute! I'm jealous! I can't wait until I move out and can have a kitty. By the way, are all of those your dogs?

>By the way, are all of those your dogs?
Just Puddin' and Penny. Jake is gone now - he was my dog when I was growing up. Got him for my 12th birthday. Kryton was the family dog when I was little, but he was stolen out of our yard. Curser was the dog we got after Kryton was stolen, and he died a couple of years after I got Jake. Doogie and Lucy are my parents' dogs now.
Yep - lots of them.
At some point (maybe this weekend?) I'll scan in and post photos of the other animals I've rescued.

LOL...
He is a sweet kitty. I never used to be much of a cat person, but I just love all animals now.

He's got that wide-eyed thing going on - I was just helping out a friend the other night with her 1 month old baby, and she has the same expression. Must be something about being 1 month old... :-)

That's sort of been my theory - I had been thinking about getting a kitten for a while now, but wasn't going to actively look for one. I wanted a young kitten that I could raise and have seen postings and ads for free cats, but not what I wanted. Pip was exactly what I wanted, though, so I figure it was meant to be. :)

Well...he WALKS on his scratching post, but he doesn't yet know to scratch it. He'll learn, though. My friend has two cats and gets the corrigated cardboard kind that are laced with catnip, and they love them. I had read good things about sisal, though, so the scratching post I got him has sisal rope on it. Not that I won't be getting him some more later!

He's going to be one spoiled cat. :-b

You know, I read somewhere that babies in the animal & human world all have that helpless, kind of goofy cute look. Its supposed to be nature's way of making the parents want to care for and protect them.
