OK, Pick the Spot! (Mindless Question)

Posted by Susan J on February 18, 2004, at 16:38:09

I'm sitting here under 12 tons of work and won't see the light of day for another month. But I'm still trying to plan my next vacation in my head. You guys get to pick. I won't get to go until 2005 because of money issues, but it's still fun thinking about. :-)

*Cancun and the Yucatan (not so much for night life but for snorkeling and Maya ruins)

*Florida Keys and Maybe Miami (always wanted to see where Hemingway hung out)

*Mexico City (I've got a friend who lives there, but don't know of anything exciting to look at)

*Bermuda

*Santa Fe, NM in early December (might be able to swing that this year. Apparently they have a film festival then)

Vote on. :-)

My vote's for Cancun. My husband and I went for our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it - especially swimming with the dolphins! And the snorkeling was absolutely fabulous!

Have fun!

I'd have a hard time picking between the Keys and Cancun. The Hemingway house was really interesting to me and the wackiness of Key West was a lot of fun. But Cancun is so beautiful, and quiet. Hmmm, wild nightlife in Key West? Serene surroundings in Cancun? I vote for Cancun. My husband and I had a great time there.
antigua (but antigua was our favorite place...can you tell?)

Santa Fe in December. But then I hate heat.

Cool.

Ah, I wanna go to ALL of them.... :-)

It's one of the few personal goals I have in life right now that makes me feel enthused....

Travelling....to other countries preferably. I've hit 5 foreign countries in my life time. I'd like to get that up to 10....

Santa Fe in December. Just because that's sooner. I think you should go on vacation before 2005.

But also, I love Santa Fe! You know that it's cold there in the winter, right? It's really high elevation.

Actually, I get to go to Santa Fe for work in early March. Just for a couple of days. But I plan to do some gallery strolling, and some yoga for sure while I'm there.

Yeah, I found out it was cold there in the winter. I didn't realize that, and had visions of deserts and tundra and stuff. But I was doing a search on world film festivals and they listed Santa Fe, so I looked into it. I'm not a skier, but LOVE films, and just love travelling....

Sante Fe is a real possibility. It's just I have a lot of home repairs this year to pay for...so a vacation has to come second. But it's definitely fun to think about! :-)

And I love yoga too.
