I once had a migraine for a week straight. I don't know if you are about going to a doctor for pain pills or not, but that is what I did. He gave me Celebrex (some type of steroid) and some pain pills. I sympathize with your situation. I have finals coming up and it sucks! Try slowing down the pace if you can. Or just taking minibreaks from your desk/office/taxi-cab (??). *Also, muttering snide comments about your boss helps alot too (if s/he isn't around!!). Try to take care of yourself. Your boss isn't going to look out for you, so you have to!!!

Susan, I DO know where you are coming from. I hate going to work every morning, because I know that my anal-retentive boss will already have a list of what I haven't done, and what I need to do. He is such a perfectionist when it comes to the work of others, yet he really does nothing at all from start to finish any day. Yesterday, I even asked him in a light tone "what DO you do?". and he said like 2 things that actually he should have nothing to do with. He is trying to get me out of his office, because he knows that I know all his tricks (I came to his facility in 1992, and basically taugt him how to do HIS job, as I had been doing even more in a larger facility). He is SOOOOOOO egotistical, I'm really surprised that he can get his head out of the door. The people who kiss up to him, and say "yes sir! No Sir!" he really loves, regardless of their job performance. So, what do I do? I have tried to get out to some other office, but few have been available within a resonable commute (45 Min.) for me. Anyway, you are NOT alone in your job hatered. Join my social club?

I just lied and said i was leaving so that i wouldn't have to talk about my accursed job and raise my anxiety level another notch. I just can't take any more - not one more bit - right now.

I want to join the work haters club.

Oh yes! Good job calling the boss on what he actually does! I remember once at my old job before I started school again I had a boss I couldn't stand. And it was a "Professional Learning Community" which meant that there were no offices or cubicles, we learned from eachother. anyway, I had to go pee and someone returned my call. Rather than taking a message, my boss knocked on the restroom door and said "You have a phone call." I was like "I'm taking a pi** here, could you kindly take a message?" I was fuming!!!! Stupid boss! I took my time washing my hands as well and stopped for a cup of coffee on my way back to my desk, as well as a smoke break. Take that stupid bosses everywhere!!!!

Thanks Guys

While I'm glad I'm not the only one out there hating my job, I'm really sorry you guys are going through the same thing. :-(

I'm in here on a Sunday cuz I can't seem to get my work done M-F. My own fault....oh, well.

Headache's gone. At least for now. :-) Nothing like a migraine. Just there. And annoying.

Hope everyone's having a great day today...very snowy where I am.

Susan
