Oh mannn...I needed a repeat on my Prozac sooner because the doc had changed my dose but didn't adjust for the number of pills. I figured they would realize it is an emergency situation, and would help me...as this stuff is my *lifeline*!
I started craying and nobody cared...and my mom was sweet as usual and suggested I call the pharmacy to see if I can get my dose for tonight (I take mine before bed) and I've already made an appointment for tommorow. What if this was heart medication, or insulin? Would they refuse a repeat on that, and just let me die??Urgggg.....

Jay,
Sometimes the pharmacy will say that a refill is denied, but it may be just your insurance. The insurance will tell the pharmacy that they won't pay for it because it is too soon. You can still purchace the med without the insurance paying for it, and you can purchase only the number of capsules / pills, etc. that you need. After you get things fixed with the doctor, you can possibly get reimbursed by your insurance company.
It's worth a try.
Dee.
