Just got one. Don't like them. Can anyone suggest a good online Traffic School?

The cop asked me 'why in the world I would be going 58 in a 45 mile and hour zone.' What could possibly have made me do such an outlandish, insane thing?

Come on! I've talked my way out of 85 in a 45 before... What's wrong with you?? Sorry to hear about it. I'll be next, for sure. Karen

Have you really? You're gifted. I felt like it was a no win; was there really an answer that would have sufficed? The only time I successfully talked myself out of a speeding ticket was when I had an..ahem...biological 'specimen' I had to get to a lab in time...I offered to show it to the cop but he declined. He stared at the bag suspiciously, fearfully, then told me it was my 'lucky day' and left. Coulda really been anything in that bag...

Tsk Tsk Tsk.

(I paid mine, but it never showed up on my insurance bill - at least I don't think it did, I'm sure my hubby would have given me a lot of grief if he saw something like that...)

>What can I say, I've never had a speeding ticket and I've been pulled over many times. I just don't argue and I flirt a whole lot. They just let me go. I don't ever give excuses either. Just smile and say I'm sorry. I did get pulled over once for speedign in a "trap" but he gave me a seat belt ticket instead of a speeding ticket. That's the closest I've come. Just don't argue or make excuses, that's what I've learned. Sorry, I don't know of any driving schools. Sorry hun, better luck next time. I'm gonna be mad if I get a ticket today, which I deserve for giving away hints and bragging :) Karen

In CA, you get a letter with approved traffic schools once they see you're eligible (also on the back of the ticket). As a veteran of many traffic schools, the on-line ones (they're all pretty much the same) are far superior- I've done it in 15 minutes versus the 8 hour 'comedy' or 'dinner' traffic schools. Plus they only cost about $20 (plus the cost of your ticket). You could also contact the DMV for a list.
