It seems like no one is on. Is anyone but me on? Maybe everybody just happens to be busy lately. I don't know.

Well now I'm back - been gone (actually working!) for an hour or two. Well, Kar, I guess it's just you and me! Unless of course you are gone by now!

Well, you know with the time difference and all, some people are posting while some are in bed, and sometimes just the opposite. (Hmmmm...what about a four poster bed?). Anyway, when this was a more active community where open thought was not only allowed, but encouraged, we even had a lot of live chatting in the evening. There were problems with that particular chat line (Yahoo), so some of us have broken off into smaller splinter groups (sometimes we are called "EXPATS"). Some have become unable or unwilling to post due to the subjective blocking by Dr. Bob. Since this IS his board, that IS of course his prerogative. But, alas, I ramble, what was it you wanted to know about?

I'm here.
Yes, the board seems quiet. A knowlegable friend told me that it comes and goes. It can be really busy and then it quiets down.
I know I was spending a lot of time on the boards. Probably too much time. So it is better for me that it slowed down a little.
I respond if I feel like I have something to say, if I think I can make someone feel better, if I am bored. If I don't respond I probably don't think that I can add anything new to the conversation.
So while the board is slow, we'll just have to keep things interesting for those of us who are here!

yes,,concerning your post about "responses"
i remember being called a "pervert" and told there was a "reason" no one responded to my posts,(from another poster)
and i should "dissappear"(from an email)..this was over on the babble board.
i seldom respond or even read posts that dont pertain to me...
i dont want to step on toes
however when i post,,i cant help but feel i belong , when people respond...
rock and a hardplace

I also remember how many people leapt(sp?) to your defense. You know how fondly thought of you are here on Babble.

A pervert! I've never thought anything you wrote seemed perverted, whatever that may mean to someone. I guess there are all different people here, and what some may find perfectly acceptable, others may be offended by.
I always feel that your responses are very worthy of reading, well thought out, and helpful.
I also don't usually read the posts that don't pertain to me. Or I read the first few sentences of the original posting, determine that I just don't have anything to add to that particular conversation, and move on.

I'm sorry, JYL. My intent was certainly not to make you feel defensive. Just to remind you how many people care about you. In case you're ever tempted to forget. (And I don't blame you one bit for the meds board. It does feel much safer over here, doesn't it? No offense to meds boards posters of course.)
I think I may not be at my best right now, and not communicating as clearly as I might wish.

You're right, I did. I sometimes think I overuse emoticons, but then sometimes I think there aren't enough emoticons available.
Don't you think there should be a separate mischievous smile from gentle smile from encouraging smile?
