> > > > > > Hey all, I will be visiting Florida at the end of June for 4 or 5 days. We will probably go to Clearwater beach. Is this a good beach to visit? We will also be going to disney for a day. I cant wait!!!!!!!!!
> > > > >
> > > > > Yes, its a good beach as far as I remember. I went there as a kid and have fond memories!!!! My opinion Daytona is the best, but others will disagree. They are all pretty good beaches here. My wife works at Disney. I hope you have a safe and most of all HAPPY trip!!!!!!!!
> > > >
> > > > I would have to be one of those that disagrees. I drove over to Daytona beach shortly after I moved here and quite honestly I was not impressed at all. I found Daytona beach to be rather "dirty" looking. My 16 year old son isn't to anxious to return there either. Oh well, that's what makes the world go round. Each of us being able to have our own opinions LOL.

> > > My son went to south beach and thats all he talked about!!! I know why he liked it though!!! We can go into that on another show though. TAKE CARE!!!!!!

> > As for my favorite, I would have to say the Keys :-). If I had my choice that is, but got spoiled with the Keys being that my family still lives there and don't ever have to find a place to stay or pay the "tourist" prices for rooms LOL. The sunrises and sunsets there are the ultimate. But, when in Lauderdale I usually went to Pompano Beach or Fort Lauderdale beach. But, stayed away from the "strip" part of Fort Lauderdale. Usually went more down to the North and even farther North like Commercial. I am going to try and check out Cocoa Beach this weekend. I have never liked South Beach. Anyone on vacation likes it because it is "different" but I want to go to the beach to relax and South Beach really isn't about that.

> South Beach is like a big movie set!! And full of tourists.

Stick with the west coast of Florida if you want nice clean, family-oriented and quiet beaches. Annually, the west coast beaches win awards for being the best beaches in Florida. From north of Clearwater down to Naples, the beaches are nice.
If you are looking for partying or watching "beautiful" people, go to the east coast of Florida, Daytona all the way down to Miami Beach (a/k/a South Beach). If you are into a bit wilder of a lifestyle, going out drinking and dancing in clubs, then you'll enjoy the east coast.
I live in Miami, but I go to the beach in and around Sarasota, or the Keys. Except that the Keys do not have natural beaches because they are coral reefs, so their beaches were constructed for people and not by nature.
Have fun, regardless of where you go. Please be careful driving in this state, regardless of where you go. And remember to wear your sunscreen, especially on your first day out! Even if it's sunny elsewhere, the sun is harsher here. And let us know how it went when you get back.

This is the only time I have lived out of the Fort Lauderdale or the Keys area. Beach Bum / Water Baby (whatever you want to call it) all the way :-).

>I must admit that I am much less stressed here in Orlando than I am in Lauderale. But, then again I was told that they hired four (4) people to replace me when I relocated from our Fort Lauderdale branch to our Orlando branch. If that gives you any idea of my work load previously. So you say that you are a lot less stressed now than when you lived in Tampa or Lauderdale. Where do you reside now?

JYL, I think Dr. Bob was just redirecting a post that had already been made. I don't think that bit at the bottom was added by him. He remains neutral to us all.
