Has anyone heard From TED?

Posted by gabbix2 on May 6, 2003, at 16:25:25

I'm getting concerned, he hasn't replied to my e-mails which is unusual.

He didn't post (obviously)
But he did ***spooky organ music****
Email me last night. Even though he didn't recieve any of my emails. Although perhaps he was just lying about not receiving my emails, and decided he should get back to me, and it wasn't telepathy after all. I prefer to think it was mental energy though.

Hey Gabbi, can you predict a new job for me? Money is no object and I heard US dollars are worth more than Canadian cash. Something with an office with a window would be most excellent!

Many thanks in advance!

Greg

Okay, I'm warning you though, I'm on TOPAMAX
and you know the nickname for TOPAMAX is
StupiMAX, and rightly so. (Yesterday I was struggling with the word bicep)
so I refuse to be held responsible for
what I may end up conjuring. I guess I should have warned Greg too:(

I've been on Topamax for a long time. It really does get better with time. It takes some longer than others though. Seems like there's always a trade off though when you start a new med, one thing gets better (hopefully), another gets worse. I love the job you're conjuring up for me, especially the back-stab free part. Where I work now, everytime I drink a glass of water I leak like a sieve (sp?).

Greg, (if same greg I know)

Did I ever tell you that I use to walk to school with a Greg? Had a mad crush on his neighbour. A few years later, he (the neighbour) made an off the cuff marriage proposal. Perhaps I should have made him a man of his word. Do wonder at times what happens to all those childhood friends.

Anyway, thought you would like to know our cdn loonie is climbing, last I checked we could buy about 70 of your pennies or 7 dimes with it. So don't discount anything up here, you have to take into consideration no health insurance payments. I know snow is an issue for you, my mother has reported that in the Okanagan valley during winter months the rent is cheap, and they for some absurb reason have mild weather. And then there's the added bonus of being in the same country with Cam and myself, plus some great hockey and British Columbia is suppose to have a real healthy trade business happening with "wackie tabackie."

Hi Everyone,

I'm here and I'm OK. I pop in occasionally, but if there aren't any threads of interest, I just pop back out.

Take care all.

I'm glad I'm not working or I wouldn't find this idiocy half so amusing. To quote kara lynn "Cognizance is overrated" Really though between depression and medication I'm amazed at the myriad ways there are to be non functional physically and mentally. Topamax has also shown me a new kind of fatigue.

Well good luck with job, and yes no back stabbing is very important. Its amazing how much mental energy that kind of pettiness can drain from you.
And then if you're like me you get angry with yourself for letting it get to you and well... it just goes on and on, sort of like what I'm doing right now.

Good luck Greg!

Mi Lady,

Yes, tis I, the same Greg you know. Where have you been anyway dear? I don't see you here nearly as much as I used to. I hope it's because you are feeling much better and are living life to it's fullest. So, if you had a crush on the neighbor, you should have at least have played it out a bit to see what this guy had to offer...maybe he became a millionaire or something? I do think often about what happened to some of my high school friends. The last one that I kept in touch with died in a motorcycle accident about 12 years ago. The only other one is my ex-wife...we won't go there.

The last time I checked the US dollar exchanged to $1.52 Canadian. I'm trying to do the math here, but my brain feels like mush today. Well, it feels like mush most days recently. The free health care there is great, but being able to see a doctor when you need to is worth the out of pocket expense to me. Speaking of Cam, one of the last times I spoke to him (and it's been a while), he mentioned having to have back surgery and was on a waiting list that was a year long. That really scared me. I just rather have to pay the money for health care and get the services done when I need them than to have to be put on a waiting list. But that's just me... But living close to you would definitely make the whole thing worthwhile :)...even with the snow.

So, I'm curious, do you still have the job with Mapquest where you stand on the map and wave your little arms wildly so that I'll know where you live? :)

Well, I'm sending you tons of hugs, lots of love, and I hope you're doing really well!

Talk to you soon,
Greg
