I live in in Indiana, and so many people are getting sick. We are having serious flu and strep throat outbreaks.
Because of this, many schools are shutting down here, and in a few states around us. Some schools just had a 4 day weekend, hoping things would get better, and others are closing for the week. So many children and teachers are getting sick, and several schools are having only a few children show up.
Is this happening in other areas too??? Or is it just happening in Indiana and surrounding states?

Hi Jodie,Been reading your posts, hang in there - you are doing all the right things for your son!
Our schools have been filled with coughing and runny noses and stomach problems, and thus many absences (kids AND teachers). We thought last week we might have to close. Here in NY state, I think there is a state-mandated percentage of kids who must be there, or else schools are suspended. It's been a rough winter...

schools are closed here today because of the freezing rain(ontario)
when i was in the hospital, 2months ago,no one was aloud to visit because of a viris-
norwich viris?

Thank you for caring!!! It's great to have support and encouraging words. You & Dinah have both made me feel better!!!
Yes it's been a rough winter...brrr... I'm kind of jealous of the kids right now, not for being sick, but for getting out of school :-), we never closed down unless there was a blizzard, which never really happened while I was in school. Even when the weather was really bad, it seemed all schools except mine would close.

We've been having lots of freezing rain too, not fun.
Thats sad, that no one could come visit you in the hospital!! It sound familiar (the virus)
