Sick of sex

Posted by madison88 on September 7, 2002, at 15:29:49

i was watching the remade psycho on tv and during the commercial breaks there were 3 or 4 adult phone line commercials competing for callers. they were played over and over. i just feel disgusted. if i have to see or hear one more reference pertaining to sex on the tv or the radio i am going to scare my roomate and scream, bust the radio, pull the cable out of the wall.

i get plenty of action, although meds do douse my desire quite a bit. but you can only do it so many ways, so many times. please! there has to be so much more to life than craving it, getting it, craving, getting, craving , getting....

I hate those sleazy chat line commercials. They always play late at night. THere is one that profiles a bunch of A-list type young singles, gorgeous, interesting, accomplished--as though such folks would really be on that line. Then the other just shows a sexy babe lolling around the sofa, broadcasting hi guys I want it. Like chat lines are full of sexy available babes.

I remember a movie out a couple of years ago that showed a guy talking on one of those lines to a woman who was saying all these sexy things while she was dressed crummy houseclothes and ironing her husband's work shirts while the baby sat watching TV.

I love the thought that these people are pimpled and dimpled and thoroughly unattractive and saying these sexy things while they're on the toilet or doing their taxes.

I also love it that some of the women are actually men.

think it might have been Robert Altman's _Shortcuts_. she was a phone-sex operator and her hubby eventually blew a fuse and killed a woman with a rock during an earthquake.

what I like is how they make it seem like the ads are aimed at women, but they're really aimed at men.

Maybe I am on a rebound. (Ha!) I am switching meds...coming down to a smaller dose too, and my sex drive is coming (no, er, pun intended;-) back.
I am slimming up a bit too...feeling a bit better being back in college (at 32 mind you...and all those 19-21 year old female co-eds kinda, er, help the 'drive'....but it isn't just age..women in my age group and a bit older seem to be at their, um, 'peek':-)

I LOST my drive, my sexual 'emotion' not just because of meds, but because of depression, and I think it is one of the MOST evilist things that can happen to a person. Sexuality is a very basic part of being a human, and having lost so much of the 'drive', I felt 'unhuman'...I felt ugly.

When sexuality is explored in a healthy fashion (as in when it is not used in an aggressive or hurtful way), I think it can be the best anti-depressant out there.

Oh..and btw..I do agree those advertised 'chat lines', where you pay to talk to some phony, do suck. I have no problem with the ones that hook up 'real' people looking for 'it' though...'cause it's just one more way to have some kinky fun (and no worry of diseases or anything like that!)

Anyhow...girlzzzzz..please come and get me if you wish. :-)..lol

Peace,
Jay

great advice. perhaps this could be a new school of psychotherapy, based on the karma sutra and other ancient wisdoms. just kidding. i suppose i should actually get to know somebody before i do the nasty with em. maybe that would help.
