I didn't follow all the reasons for the mirror Google site as I wasn't aiming for it but something else & came across a reference to it in New Scientist. It seems the Chinese government was trying to block their people from using Google but this was one way (at least initially) of people getting around the block.
Funny thing is I can mirror write or mirror print & very quickly too. My programming prof was talking about visiting the di Vinci exhibit at a museum & how he was so floored by his ability to mirror write. When I said I could, my class mates thought I was kidding. So I did it & blew their minds.
Go ahead - be paranoid, but I don't think their aim was to find you alone. ^_^
But that's okay, while I'm not paranoid, I do try to make who I am, untraceable (not that someone couldn't if they were determined but who would want to?).
This is the end of the thread.
