Are there certain times you all connect in PB OPEN? Just wondering, because most times no one is in there!

Sandra Dee, I think most people visit PB Open in the evenings. I know you're west coast like me and I can usually find people in Open between 7:00 PM our time and oh, about 10 PM. Of course those East Coasters tend to bail out earlier but it sometimes amazes me how late they do stay up! Then there are those of us with a touch of insomnia who pop in at odd hours but I'm not usually lucky enough to connect with somone when it happens to me. I hope that helps. See you there soon. Bring mangoes....

I tried to get through Yahoo registration, got annoyed, and bailed out, but someday I'll try again. What I was wondering is, how do you know who's who in there? Do people pick Yahoo names that are similar to their PB names? My PB name was already taken on Yahoo.

I, too, had a frustrating time when I first tried to get into PBOpen but eventually I made it. My PB name was also taken so I chose something I thought made sense: my chat name is imsusang. Some people have names similar to their posting name and others are completely different. You don't know who will be in chat when you get there but it's usually a small group (especially when compared to other chat rooms I've visited). I'm a relative newcomer but the "regulars" were very welcoming. Persevere with the registration; I think you'll find it worth it.

I noticed that it takes a while for them to send you the registration for you to verify (for one thing) and then also sometimes it just plain doesn't work. I know that probably doesn't help you, but it helped my sanity. I'm sort of one of those "black and white" people, where if it "lets you in" why aren't I IN!!! hahaha But it sort of just leaves you in limbo. Anyhow, keep trying. I'm rarely there, but when I do pop in people are always friendly :)

I've registered a few times and might be able to walk through the steps with you. And Jane is our resident Yahoo specialist. If I can't do it, she can. Just let us know when you give it a try, and we'll stick with you here on PSB until you succeed.
This is the end of the thread.
