Hey There,
I am new to the board and just a bit curious about all these poster names. I am especially interested in "BeardedLady". What does this mean? Does she really have a beard?
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bubba
PS Bubba is my old high school nickname for Bill

Bubba:
Thanks for inquiring about my facial hair. I figure we're all freaks in some way, but it doesn't always come through in the net, right? (Especially when you're a college English professor who can't spell Tetons.) I gave myself a freak name so there'd be no mistake. My way of fitting in the world.
It comes from a brilliant song by a brilliant gal, Ani Difranco. It's called "'tis of thee." Check it out. (CDs called "Up up up.")
"i ran away with the circus
cuz there's still some honest work left for bearded ladies
but it's not the same going town to town
since they put everyone in jail
except the cleavers and the bradys"Welcome, Bubba (that's Bill Clinton's nickname, too.)
