Silence does not exist -- Take a look at some writing by John Cage sometime. He was a leader in bringing the fact that silence doesn't exist to the mainstream. Anyway...even when you think it's silent ... you will still hear the beat of your heart ... silence just doesn't exist.
But I too hear the music. And I hear the conversations. And I know it's all memories or thoughts...etc...but I hear it too. And my dreams are soooo loud sometimes.
Anyway - happy new year.

I have 2 teen boys, an 11 year old daughter, a basset hound and a guniea pig. I have NO idea what silence sounds like, but on those rare occasions when there is some "quiet time", I treasure them!

Interesting you should mention a buzzing or ringing in your ears. What's up with that? I've learned to live with that and often it's so intense that it gives me headaches.
Can anyone explain that?
