I just returned from Kansas on wednesday, where I was visiting my grandmother in the hospital. She died early thursday morning.

Sorry about your grandma. My mom is in her seventies and I will driving into Kansas next week to visit. What is it about older relatives dying around the holidays? We were talking about that quite a bit at work last nite. My dad died the day before Thanksgiving seven years ago.

I am so so sorry KB. I know she'll be leaving a hole the size of Kansas in your heart. Remember her laughter, her kind eyes, her wisdom and cherish the time you had with her, it was a gift.
My grandmother is one of the most important people in my life and I will be devastated when she "leaves" me. We talk about it often and she has promised to "come around" when I need her if she can. So don't let go of your grandmother KB. She'll be with you always. A grandmother's spirit is a bright light and it can't be extinguished if your love sustains that light.
my sincerest sympathy
tina

Hi KB,I'm so sorry for your loss. Aren't you glad you were there and got to see her before she passed? It must have been wonderful for her to know you loved her enough to visit and take time for her. I hope you remember the good times with her, and focus on those things...
My thoughts are with you.Very sincerely,
Wendy
