To all knowing of my medical....

Posted by Kristi on December 13, 2001, at 11:55:45

I got all my test results back.. I have mono. That may not sound like good news... but compared to the big C, it's great.
The best thing is..... there is a REASON I am so tired.
I also have a leaky heart valve(which is really no big deal) and a few other little things.
Just keeping all up to date...... thanks for helping me thru things .....lv, Kristi

Kristi,
Conrats! It's very good that it's not the big C. And it sure is good to know that there's a REASON for stuff!! Enjoy your diagnosis, get some (lots of) sleep, and get well soon!! --p

Hi mouse.
Unfortunately, it doesn't rule out my depression, but it's something. I look for anything positive nowadays.
Do they sell little tiny santa hats?

MORE congrats to you, Kristi! Mono is nothing you'd want under normal circumstances, but in this case, it's a blessing...

Hope your sleep is untroubled and sweet dreams,
love, Wendy

Kristi:

You seem to have so much energy to me now - imagine you without mono. ;)

I understand the relief of finding out what it is.

Good luck.

> Kristi - I've only had to deal with mono with my son, who had a very mild case. I've heard it's worse for adults (as most things are). Still, how great that what ails you does not require yet another surgical procedure!!

Take care of yourself.

it's nice to know I give that impression... but I feel like I'm just dragging thru life... as you all are familiar with. I think this upon my depression, is just slowly killing me. I really am upbeat around friends/family tho... I dont want to worry them or "bum them out"... it's my problem.. not theirs. Of course I secretly envy them..... no depression in my family and oh... just the say they seem so happy.
My father is coming next week for christmas. It sounds like it would be a nice thing, but I am obsessively dreading it. I don't have the desire, ability, or energy to entertain... even tho he says he understands what mono is..... he dosn't know it with the depression on top of it. I just want to be alone!!!!!
Again..... thanks for your post...... hoping all is well with you. Lv, Kristi

Hi Kristi,

I am glad to hear that you "only" have mono.
Sorry to hear that you are feeling depressed.
Did you get my last e-mail to you? It's on
top of the board.

Glenn
