I've missed my "fancy rooster."
I would call him my pet, but he's not really mine. Yet there is something missing when I don't catch a glimpse of him each day.
So I went off to my earthly beach to forget lonely nights spent. And what did I see? The sunlight reflected like embers from not long ago. Oh, how I wanted to be able to say, "Look! Look! Our fireflies have followed us!"
But, alas, my childish heart was taken into stride by a mind that doesn't understand such feelings. So I spent hours enjoying the freshness of the water and smiling greetings to residents of this small town and it's tourists.
Then my heart spoke up, imagine if my friend was here and you even chatted with him, perhaps gave him directions or just commented about the weather. Would he have recognized me?
