Willow:

I'm afraid I just sort of come and go on social babble (due to a turtle-syndrome), though Dr. Bob's site has been a, I want to say God-send, but I'm not religious, so that doesn't seem appropriate but I can't think of anything else, so God-send it is, and I do occassionally eavesdrop.

Anyhoo, I just wanted to say, though I don't think we've had any, or much, direct contact, that I am happy you are still here. Your posts are very insightful.

That is all.

Not of late though. I really wish this board would just go get burried in the archives. I guess having the children out of school is sending my head spinning. I really need to just take a long hot soak with some "Calgon!"

Thanks for the kind words! It helps to know that at some point I had two feet on the ground.

Willow

ps is kingfish short for kingfisher the bird?

So, two feet on the ground it is, as for the Kingfisher, although that is not the origin of my name. It comes from one of my dogs, named after a political figure and a radio figure in American history.

My dog is a Yellow Lab/Chow mix, very sweet and smart. I thought of starting a dog thread but was worried about the reponses I might receive and those I might I might give (I'm very pro-animal).

Anyhoo, I can share a story of "wanting" and such if you're ever interested (30, no children, but married 9 years (ack!:)) - still going through a searching period myself (not that you are, but I am).

Me too! Check out the movie "Sweet November" but keep the kleenex box handy. You'll probably enjoy the background storylines.

I think we all are searching for something. Once we stop I guess the game is over!

BEST WISHES

Wife Of Former PM Crashes Car To Save Her Dog
Geills Turner Lost Control Of Minivan While Trying To Grab Dog
KENORA, Ont., 8:33 a.m. EDT July 27, 2001 -- When the wife of a former prime minister had to choose between saving her dog or her car, she chose the dog.

"(The dog) was about to die," Geills Turner, John's Turner's wife, said Thursday. "I had to save his life."

Turner, 63, was charged with careless driving after her minivan collided with a lamp post Wednesday.

"She attempted to grab her dog and lost control of her vehicle," said police Sgt. Bob Tait.

Turner said her dog's head got caught in the window of the minivan. It was not clear how the dog managed to get stuck.

Neither the dog, nor Turner, was injured in the crash.

The Turners have a home near the northern Ontario city of Kenora.

Damage to the front end of her vehicle is estimated between $3,500 and $5,000.

John Turner became prime minister in June 1984 after Pierre Trudeau resigned. He lost his position to Brian Mulroney three months later.

As long as you don't let your dog bark on my pee...

(Sorry that was just gross)

The other day I was in the backyard. This is a true story! This bird was flying towards me and at first I thought neat. It got too close and I observed this flying missile directed at me, I dodged, but splat it hit me square in the chest!

Now I wonder if that bird was you! If so the children thought it was great.

Willow

ps little birdie in the sky,
