I think your question can best be answered by a qualified metaphysician. No psychiatrist can help you in that department, although I did have one that ... well, never mind.

I believe it is the body-mind-spirit connection. We so easily think of those as separate 'entities', but really they seem more like overlapping circles.
Somebody wise about spiritual stuff (Buddha maybe, or Confuscious?) said 'when the student is ready, the teacher appears.' I think that is true, and you may soon be on the path to the answer you seek.
Namaste,

The Dalai Lama has a brother whom I believe is also a tulku (a reincarnation of some ancient and venerable monk) who is a dx'ed bipolar. The brother is an ardent buddhist, of course, who feels the Dharma has gotten him through the illness. However, it did not prevent it.

nah still here, my flatmate found me the second I posted. at the time i was in a ball on my bed having a'hysterical' (in the not funny sense) episode. she talked me down, and in the end had to start feeling better as SHE started to cry and I needed to console her. I guess I always try to care for people (I am pukeing at my own vanity!)
see the who u like section above.
the only problem is post crash I have a very dry personality. no psychological coping strategies clouding me. so the therapist will have a hard time tommorrow. but I really hate upsetting people, even my therapist who is supposed to be hearing this stuff.
glad to have wasted 20 seconds of your life.

Is that negative talk? No negative thinking, only positive thoughts. Glad to hear that you had help. Hospital or a friend, it's better not to be alone during a crisis. Misery loves company. These sayings come from old wise men who have been there and done it.Hang in there!
