Well, the company I work for sent me to a doc today (seems they don't believe I have an illness!). I had 45 minutes with him, and he says I "quite obviously have manic depression". I know that, you know that, but no one had actually told me before. he is going to write to my standard pdoc and suggest some lithium, he seems to think this will really help. And also spend some time talking to me, other than my 15 minytes I have, in and out.
Feel good for seeing him, even though it's been a particularly shitty day! (And hotmail is down!!)

Hey, this company doc wasn't half bad, eh?
I like the suggestion that your pdoc spend more than the minimal 15 minutes with you.
How can one focus on diagnosis without the proper time to discuss what is going on?

Actually, Nikki, You sound like you are now on the right path -- good job and good luck. Now maybe you can get along a little better at work.

I got more than 15 mins cos the company I workl for paid for it!!! (Are you in the UK??) IN the UK you can get what you want if you apy for it, but the NHS is a pile of shite!!!
