In France Hollande has cut his own salary an those of ministers by 30%, whereas he plans to set maximum salaries of public companies in a 1:20 ratio
that means the highest not more than 20 times the lowest income. I think this isn't bad that the incomes do align to those salaries (commonly low salaries of nurses or doctors) in hospitals.

We are not reptiles.
Clever animal studies show the existence of empathy and a sense of fairness and the desire to console in primates, elephants and dolphins.
We should try not to nurture our baser instincts.
What do we do that with apart from economics and politics? Religion? I dunno.
