You have me worried for you.
You know how it is....we're not allowed to compare anyone to Hitler, no reducto ad hitlerum permitted here, not even for Cheney.
I need adobe flash, among a whole lot of other stuff.
Sarah Palin had something to say about Obama's death tribunes.
Is there a wave of enthusiasm sweeping where you are?

If you are going to die from inadequate medical treatement, how much better it is that this happens by virtue of the free market than by virtue of socialism.
(Here I have made a basic error in describing the American health system as the free market.
How basic is that?)How much better it is to use the money to spend on weapons and propping up the banks than it is to save the lives of those who are poor.
Is that how it works?

Thanks for the comments Sigismund. I agree with your views and I think it's hilarious that that woman in the video got schooled by Barney Frank. Someone in chat said that American citizens pay for education but they don't want to pay for health care. I think it's very strange and sad indeed. Everyone should have free health care. Being born into a world where you have to go bankrupt in order to live is wrong.

> Is there a wave of enthusiasm sweeping where you are?Enthusiasm meaning people against universal health care? Or for it? Either way I am not sure. It's sad I know. I need to pay more attention to the news. I know my parents want health care for all...and the people in the group I attend feel the same too.

Yeah, I meant that. You know, the government will create death camps. Well, maybe not. I have not heard anyone say that. But I have heard about Obama's death tribunals.
Billions of dollars can go to banks too big to fail, and trillions more on weapons, but God forbid that citizens should have universal access to health care.

There is no such thing as death panels, it is a falsity and term invented and twisted out of context from provisions of the health care bill.
It has to do with references to late life counseling, which is already a concept in medicine anyway, living wills, hospice care, etc.
Barney Frank can belt it out like no tomorrow and in my opinion he is one of our most amusing (and insightful) Representatives and won't be stopped.

I read Sarah Palin's opinion on this with interest.
I wondered if it was necessary to the self esteem of some that others should suffer from the free market rather than from socialism.
There I go again, making that basic mistake.
What do you think of Ron Paul's suggestions?
He'd probably want to abolish the FDA.
Would that be a good idea?
This is the end of the thread.
