Feeling Terrible

I need to cheer myself up.

Should I read "Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder" by Dr Michael Savage?

That might help, do you think?

I'm sorry that you're feeling bad.....however if you read something by Michael Savage, you might feel worse. We're talking about the dude that has the far right radio show?

When did he get his doctorate? And where? Online?

p

p.s. why are you feeling bad?

Well, I dunno.

I rather liked reading about Hitler and Stalin, though I'm not suggesting anything at all by that.

The title is rather catchy, don't you think?

Always good to have a diagnosis.

From the reviews (the most critical too!)

>Michael Savage is a very interesting person. Well-educated; holds a Ph.D in biology (if I remember correctly); married with grown children; he is an enigma to both conservatives and liberals in that He holds his own views. For instance, he believes in holistic medicine as a first course and is a devout enviromentalist;

Good to see it's catching on. Sounds like Himmler.

>but at the same time believes that western medicine is ultimately the best developed and that SUV's are not an environmental threat.

A reliable DX..at last. I hope you read it and tell me about it. If I can't get it at the town library, I don't get to read much.

There's all these things I want to read.

"The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" and "The Decline of the West" would be good.

I'll try them first.

1.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE - THIS IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS TO BE
This paperback edition is NOT "The Decline of the West" by Ostwald Spengler. It is an abridgement of that work perpetrated by one Arthur Helps apparently from a German abrdigement by Helmut Werner and an English translation (of the original or the abridgement?) by Charles Francis Atkinson. So if you buy this, you're not buying Spengler (leave aside the issue of how much...

For years I read about Weimar Germany, and of course Spengler and the Protocols were influential then.

Historians (without exception!) treat them both with disdain (certainly the historians I like), but I am interested in the feel of the times and that seems like a useful introduction.
