What they give w/one hand, they take w/the other

I appreciate films like A BEAUTIFUL MIND (2001), which attempt to erase prejudice against those with mental deficiencies.

But the same star who played the hero in A BEAUTIFUL MIND, Russell Crowe, then makes MASTER AND COMMANDER (2003) in which a man aboard his ship, obviously badly depressed, hangs himself. After this suicide, the wind comes up, and all's well aboard ship again. Unbelievable BS!

What the film stars do with one hand, they seem to take away with another.

I need to see "Beautiful Mind". I hardly watch any movies and I definitely want to see it. But not the second one.

I used to work in a prison and every time that there was a disturbance the warden blamed it on "bipolar" mental problems. I am bipolar and I always wanted to bitch slap him. :-)

fayeroe-

I'd say if you worked in a prison, you must be mentally tough. From what I see in the prison documentaries that are aired on TV, it don't look like fun in there.
