His Nobel acceptance speech could not be linked to this site under the civility rules.
It's good on Bush, Blair and self love.
You can always google it.
I must get his plays out.

Which grows on the hill
You turn from the light
Which lights the black wall.

Hardly anything Harold Pinter said is allowed here, but this should be OK, besides being the truth....
>Iraq is just a symbol of the attitude of western democracies to the rest of the world.

>All that happens is that the destruction of human beings - unless they're Americans - is called collateral damage.

>"Pinter singles out the United States.......... because "U.S. crimes in the same period have only been superficially recorded, let alone documented, let alone acknowledged, let alone recognised as crimes at all."
>The invasion of Iraq is just its latest crime.
>The horror the United States inflicted upon Chile in 1973 can never be purged and can never be forgiven.
>Inexplicably, Pinter never mentions the war in Vietnam, a crime against humanity even greater than the war in Iraq. Please respect the views of others, even when you disagree with them, by not posting anything that could lead them (e.g., veterans or supporters of certain wars, Americans in general) to feel accused or put down. I could pass a question on to the deputies, and we could discuss it if necessary, but would you be willing to ask another poster for input first? Thanks,
Bob
