There has been a TV show here called 'The Howard Years', an ABC doco.
So you see all these former government people explaining it all.
John Clark plays them all in this.
That might make it clearer.It's poetry really.

Phillip Ruddock was Minister for Immigration and then Attorney General over the time that 'illegal immigration' was the issue here.
I've put these up before but they are worth a look.
They are in historical order. In the first he is AG.
In the second he is reflecting on his time in office.
