because it really casts a shadow over this election, that his grandmother, who was also his primary caretaker, died yesterday. That must make this a very difficult moment.

He seemed a bit glum and not so electric bubbly in the past few days. I'm impressed that he was able to visit her recently, however.
I remember when Joe Biden (not six-pack or /plumber) teared up during the VP debate when talking about the car accident that took his (wifes?) and son's lives.
I feel so sad for Obama-- this will be a bittersweet date for him for the rest of his life.
