Anyone see Hilary Clinton's speech?

I thought it was smashing and more than met the occasion.

Obama IS the MAN of the moment. Well..I will just say Obama's acceptance speech was one of the rare ones in *history*, like something JFK would have said. Nobody, I mean *nobody*, could or can beat that one! I still think the Clintons (Who I used to really admire..) just had to say something to try to make themselves feel important. I could say a lot more but I won't...

I think that the convention turned out very, very well. Obama and Biden more than met my expectations and I believe that we are ready to go out and get the White House back!!

I've always admired Joe Biden. I know that folks arne't going to be ready for his questions and answers. :-)

While I think Obama's speech was excellent, I personally thought it wasn't of the greatest speeches in history. An excellent speech, overall accomplishing a lot in a subtle but strong way, which had some great moments.

I don't agree with the negativity and dark speculations about the motives of the Clintons, particularly Hillary. They're not monsters from the black lagoon. They're human beings with flaws and strengths who've given a tremendous amount to our country. I admire both of them and the speeches they gave, as well as Obama's.

Obama was excellent. Could have been stronger but I liked it.

Bill Clinton is my favourite President since Kennedy.

Hillary has done so much for our country.

NOW let's take the gloves off and let Joe terrorize the repugs.

Isn't it wonderful to see the centre regain control of the political debate?

This has been a long time coming.........20 years if you exclude the Clinton presidency.

I dunno anything about Biden that I haven't heard recently, but I was impressed that he knows how ordinary people live.

Well, sorry I think you are very wrong. The speech had a 'JFK' allure to it. Most of the 75 million other viewers thought the same as well.
After the speech, the polls indicated this.

Sorry, but the Clinton's used racism in their (her) campaign. She claimed she had more to do with the human rights of black's then Obama did!
Bill and her just couldn't let go...they had to have the 'rock-star' treatment, to fulfill their selfish little egos. Nice. Well, Obama doesn't need them, so the Clinton's can go and fade away now.

She never claimed she had more to do with civil rights than Obama did. She claimed as far as I know, that President Johnson a huge impact on the fate of civil rights changes in the 60's-- which was said to be racist, but which just happens to be true. Which is not to say that without Martin Luther King, any of it would have been possible either. It doesn't take away from him to acknowledge the reality of Johnson's contribution--

By the way, 38 million people saw Obama's speech, not 75 million. Just to be precise.

The charge that the Clintons are racist is absurd IMO. Sorry, I just don't agree with you on that. And she didn't use racism in her campaign. She said some things, which though perhaps literally true, were dumb and unhelpful to point out. I don't think you know much about Hillary Clinton, honestly.

As far as Obama not needing them: he needs them desperately or he won't win. And I think they came through for him well. And I think they'll continue to do so. I certainly hope so.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and hero-worship of Obama. He's a remarkable person. But I disagree with your perspective about other things.
