You were born in Arkansas, Pat?
I have mixed feelings about this.
It seems obvious to me that gay people would be at least as good at parenting as anyone else.
But the world we live in (certainly the world there) is such that I worry about setting off some terrible reaction.

I don't think that sexual orientation has anything at all to do with parenting skills.
Here in the US we overreact to almost everything. Most of my gay friends are very strong (they have had to be) and I feel that they could withstand other's reactions very well.
Mena, Arkansas..in a "hospital". Only child in family to be born in a "hospital" and to go to college. Wonder if that is related? :-) (the "hospital" was one room above the doctor's office)

Oh, I'm sure they have another stack of petitions asking to legalize gay marriage. They just want to make sure that every baby has two loving parents, right?

Come up to Canada, we are (or where) on the right ( or left...lol) track. We've got a Conservative minority Federal government who are trying to undo and retro everything the past Liberal government did from same-sex marriage to pot legalization. But we also are likely going to have a Federal election called soon, and let's just say I won't be supporting the Conservatives. (Never have, actually..) This original (before the Conservatives got to it ) rule of law is based on our "Charter of Rights and Freedoms". No problems since!

I like conservatives, more and more as the time passes.
But why are the only conservatives on the left?
And why did utopian thinking migrate to the right?
(Where did that rush of blood to the head come from?
Demise of the USSR? Stranger things have happened.)
This is the end of the thread.
