Unfortunately I am ignorant of the Mayan calendar.

Since the election has yet to occur (and any vote-counting shenanigans in its wake) it's way too early to speculate on which candidate we should credit with any cosmic mission to end the world. If I thought 2012 would be "lights out" for Earth because of next year's winner there are lots of other names in the race I'd plug into this joke ahead of her as a likely "responsible party."
