Maybe, but I'm curious exactly what they mean, as I've heard the terms used occassionally and really don't know what they mean.

I am registered to vote as a Democrat. I have some very liberal views. I also have some awfully conservative views, though. I don't think you can say that someone is necessarily liberal on all points simply by virtue of his/her voter registration card. My guess is that the same can be said for many conservatives, and many Republicans.
One of my very favorite people on this site is a Republican. While I probably disagree with her on a lot of political issues, I'm pretty sure we agree on others.
