The talk show wonks were at it yesterday!

They feel as if they were played for chumps. Just last Friday Delay was on one of them talking about how he'll keep fighting and how he won't give up.

Another host was at a Delay fundraiser over the weekend hearing the same things.

Then on Monday he quits. But he gets to keep all his direct contributions to pay his legal bills. No wonder he didn't let things out of the bag during the fundraiser.

If there is no fire, there sure is a heck of a lot of smoke. But I'm afraid our great state won't get better just yet. We've still got the same governor. Just last week he took a huge contribution from one of the same guys who funded the swift boat ad.

And the talk show guys are now going on about how it's really the 'ideas' that win elections. I wish!! It's been a long time since I've heard *any* politician on either side with real ideas.

Ideas went out a while back, didn't they? We don't need them anymore. Maybe not even in the poor parts of the world, let alone the rich. There's no ideas here either. It seems to be part of a trend.

Here's an idea.....

Quantum politics.

Politicians don't exist until we look for them. If no-one looks, they're an indeterminate cloud of possibilities.

Ideas? Hmmm. The most interesting ones have been plain disasterous (nazism, marxism, nationalism), and then there are the strange ones (Nicene Creed) and I suppose productive ones (US founding fathers). Maybe it's a mixed bag. In my intemperate way I'd just been thinking that all ideas were bad, and the fewer the better, but maybe not.

When the climate finally fails us I think we'll get a horrible green fascism, but I've been wrong about every election forever, so I'd take that with a grain of salt.
