I want to thank the troops and veterans for their immeasurable sacrifice toward making the world a safer place and protecting our freedoms.

Thank you so much, Verne.
It was an honor and a privilege. I'd do it again in a heartbeat - all 22+ years - if I could.

may we honor all who step into harm's way,
who put themselves between our enemies and
our country."if someone must die to protect our country, let me be the first in that line."
my dad served 26 years for the air force ... it was the army air corps when he ... well, he was drafted into the army ... his bunk mate ratted him out for he having a degree in business management, so the sarge marched him to OSC ... they made him a hospital administrator, part of the signal corps, which ended up as part of the army air corps, which became the air force ... and he retired as an air force colonel.
my older brother served 18 years in the air force ... two tours as a pilot in vietnam and another flying mission out of guam ...
may we all support lifetime medical care for all our heroes.
once they were promised this, but now that promise is no longer.
our homeless vets we see on our streets should be taken in by our nation and cared for.i honor all who are serving and have served our nation.
including those who go unmentioned in our clandestine services.~ jim
