I HAD a high lipid profile and did just that lowered my lipids without meds. I eat a high protein low BUT GOOD &NON REFINED* CARB diet..and I eat fats but GOOD fats like olive oil, walnuts and almonds...only 8 a day....maybe 10 but.,...and FLAXSEED for the omega fatty acids..I now have a lipid profile to be envied I added anaerobic exercise to increase my HDL and do the flaxseed (COLD MILLED GROUND NOT OILS) AND Benecol its like butter but has some plant deal to lower lipids...I eat a HIGH fiber diet ...ie my carbs are high fiber ground wheat and millet and oatmeal NOT instant...My LDL is 76 and has stayed that low for years now...fish is gooooood VERY good...btw,,,most people pray for an LDL of 150 thats the bad cholesteral....I get my ground cold milled flaxseed at GNC only because it is good, cheap and stable...you must put it in the fridge after you open it...Hope this helps :) I am good at this stuff..
