I'm cooking (and eating up a storm). Have to find a way to make breakfast a palatable possibility - my homework for therapy.
Getting my hair cut soon to make up for all the stuff that I shed during my not eating phase. (Help!)
Cleaned out my closet - four bags full went to my favourite - and only - local charity. I can't believe my closet looks substantially the same (blushing).
Thank goodness for psychiatric chemistry that still performs - Paxil lifted this latest veil of darkness. The anxiety, I can deal with. Somehow.

Leonard Cohen
Listening to all his old stuff again, after so long, and it is nice to hear it again and know it was as good as I ever thought.

My computer is too slow to check.
I do like.....
Oh you who must leave everything that you cannot control,
It begins with your family but soon it comes round to your soul.
Well I've been where you're hanging and I think I can see how you're pinned.
When you're not feeling holy your loneliness tells you you've sinned.(I think is it.)

Absolutely.
And. Of course, the man is a Canadian, from Montreal, even? No explanations needed. An artiste of the highest order, it must be the cold winters... so she told herself...

My sister saw him in Sydney last night. I asked her if he did 'The Future" and said I understood what 'give me back the Berlin wall, give me Stalin and St Paul, I've seen the future and it's murder' was about, but I didn't understand which was the voice or the level of irony in the doo w*p chorus of 'when they said repent, repent, I wondered what they meant'. She said 'He was speaking of me, of everyone, how we have let all this go down'. At the end he read something out of the Book of Ruth and blessed the audience. She thought it was a religious experience. That good.

"She thought it was a religious experience. That good."
I am so thrilled that you are going to have the experience of Leonard Cohen.
This is the end of the thread.
