The natural hungry drive is very strong

Posted by Deneb on March 23, 2006, at 19:31:03

I try and try to restrict my eating but I always fail. The hunger drive is very strong. When I'm hungry I can't concentrate on anything other than food. I try to study and all of a sudden I start thinking of food.

I always cave in and eat something when I'm hungry. I just can't resist. When I'm full I can think again. I don't think of food when I'm full.

When I purge my hunger is not satiated and I end up making it up later by eating again until I'm full. I think I end up replacing whatever I purged. I should just let the food stay in my stomach so I don't get hungry and think about food all the time.

I guess it's a healthy thing to eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm not. That's mainly what I do. According to my BMI, I'm at a healthy weight. My pdoc told me I don't need to worry about my weight.

I just want to loss a few founds to look better. I could lose 10 pounds and still be a normal weight.

I know what you mean!!

Hmmm, well I guess the sensible suggestions would be to eat regulary (breakfast - vvvv important!! lunch and dinner) and plan these meals so that they are healthy and within your calorie allowance --

But I know, it doesn't always work like that!! Particulry when you are on a binge/overeating episode.

But seriously, if I try and sort of plan my meals making sure they are healthy, I avoid being too hungry and then just reaching for the nearest food, often very unhealthy!!

I'm also in the normal range, although I still want to lose a few kilos!!!
