If magazines make you feel insecure...

Posted by Dr. Beth Steinhauer on March 2, 2006, at 8:48:18

You should check out the following link for examples of before and after pictures. It's remarkable to see what gets airbrushed away...knobby knees, visible pores, wrinkles, belly curves, folds of skin in armpits...and how healthy, normal weight individuals have their size and shape adjusted. If you've ever felt badly about yourself after browsing through a magazine, it might be reassuring to realize that NOONE looks like that, not even the models in the photographs! Is it any wonder that so many women feel unable to measure up to these standards of beauty?

Go to this link, click portfolio, click agree, then view before/after pictures.

This is soooo true! Plus we don't have the army of stylists, beautians, personal trainers etc etc that the models/celebs have. And we don't have the money to have plastic surgery either.....

Check out this, about Sarah Jessica Parker, who has changed alot:

Now I know who to go to for plastic surgery! sarah jesica parker's surgeon. Although she was always pretty.

I think I'll cancel my collegen injections asap! Damn it : (

In reality though, there are perfect bodies out there, they may not have perfect faces or perfect personalities but they are there and some even perfect all over... and those people find flaws in their bodies too.
