I have a boy who is 16 1/2 years old with Asperger disorder. He has been taking medification with SSRIs for antiaxiety effect for 3 years, After that, the problem of aggressiveness appeared, as the SSRIs dampens the enjoyment and positive thinking.
Please, are there any therapies without problems to the enjoyment of the children?

Hey, I never come to this board......
I do know that Temple Grandin takes a *very* low dose of an SSRI and says it makes a big difference.
Low dose seems to be the thing with Aspergers, and may help with enjoyment.

Hey sorry
I come here so rarely.
I don't know how you could contact her.
I read something she wrote. It might have been one of her books, or it might have been in "An Anthropologist on Mars" by Oliver Sacks, who is interesting in himself.
But here is her website, or one of them...
http://www.templegrandin.com/
I do know the dose she takes is very low and she claims it has really evened her out.
This is the end of the thread.
