*Ignore this message if twitter hasn't happened, or not*
This has been a relatively safe haven for people like us. Twitter has been one of the worst things to come into existence. It is one of the most vacuous so called social networking shams I have ever encountered.
I think it will draw unnecessary and untoward attention towards psychobabble and babblers that could possibly be extremely detrimental to our existence here.
I just found out this was possibly happening or is already underway, can someone babblemail me and tell me it isn't so.
People who have serious issue find this place. Have you seen the Yahoo depression rooms, as an example? Need I say more.
I think you will have your hands so full blocking and banning people that this place will fall to pieces.
Prickly Pear.

Hi, everyone,
This is now a general "do not share/tweet" list. To keep this thread just opt-outs, other posts are redirected to:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/admin/20090529/msgs/904398.html
FYI, there's a long thread about the share/tweet buttons at Psycho-Babble Administration:

Thanks,
Bob

http://www.dr-bob.org/cgi-bin/pb/settings.pl
So if you'd rather not have your posts shared or tweeted, please change your default setting, which is to display the buttons. Since it's automatic now, this list won't be used anymore. Thanks,
Bob

> BobWould you please clarify:
I have chosen for the buttons NOT to be displayed.
Will the following posts of mine have the buttons on them?
1. my posts in any Archives
2. my posts in reply to a DO-display-buttons poster (current & in Archives)
I would think that ALL posts written by me will not have the buttons on them. Am I correct in thinking this?
Also - if Poster X puts a link to his/her post on Facebook, If his/her Facebook friend clicks on that link, will any of my posts in that thread be readable?
Thanks for the clarification.
Kath

Yes.

The new setting affects whether the buttons are displayed, not whether your posts are.
