Mr. Hsiung,
In regards to your reminder procedure, there is another outstanding notification from me.

Hi Lou, it might be helpful for Dr. Bob if you included the text or link to your original post. That way you may not having so many outstanding requests!

He should not, per the civility policies. That's why the notification system was started...to allow Babblers to point out to Dr. Bob/deputies privately what posts or posters they found uncivil or had some kind of issue with.

If Lou provided a link, he'd be technically uncivil himself in revealing a post he felt needed reporting. That's why he only reminds Dr. Bob there is an outstanding notification with no further public info.

Make sense?

Wow, I didn't know that. Thank you for letting me know. It makes perfect sense.

well, at least it *used* to be so when I was a deputy. Today I searched the FAQ and Dr. Bob never comes out and says that. It just became known that saying, "I reported X post in this thread right here, " or ,"Here's a link to an uncivil post," or other things like that were themselves accusing posters of something and feeling like put downs to folks, thus the arrival of the Notification button.

But who knows any more. I have seen so much stuff allowed for months I haven't much clue what Dr. Bob wants, believes or plans to stick to and enforce.

Seems like more of a crap shoot than it ever was awhile back...IMO. I know others hated it then, so I guess it's a matter of perspective, priorities and perception. Oh, well. I still think Lou wisely and carefully follows the policy I mentioned as it was the expected norm at one time.
