I could see "Social" as including things like politics, faith, books, work, eating and possibly others. It seems like "social" is a relatively all-inclusive type of term that encompasses just about any interaction between people. Perhaps it is supposed to be more "light hearted"? "Health" could be rolled into "Medications" or maybe hyphenate it - "Health/Medications." Just a thought.

I do think of Social as all-inclusive, but not necessarily light-hearted.

Dr. Bob good idea but health and meds are closely tied in to me. Love Phillipa ie thyroid and depression and anxiety clearly tied in alone with chronic disease autoimmune in particular. Just my thoughts

I disagree about Grief. I've always thought that Grief should be part of Social. When someone is grieving, isn't the place to look for comfort the community? Not isolated.

As I think about it, I agree. Also see the practical aspects of putting grief in with social. Both are excellent suggestions IMHO.

People post their feelings of hopelessness, sad things in their life, even their desire not to battle on. Why should grief alone be seggregated? I find the grief board very triggering because it's only grief - unleavened grief. But grief expressed as part of life on the board of the community, I think is appropriate. More appropriate than posters being told to take their grief to someplace they won't depress others.
How about changing the name to General or better yet Community?

I think closing those boards was a good idea. Now people won't be overwhelmed with too many boards to visit and now it might make the boards we do have more active.
I think it might be a good idea to have a section in information that links back to the old boards, just so people can find them for the sake of having complete archives.
It's not needed, it's just an idea. I was able to find the old boards no problem by changing the url. Parents was a little tricky to find, but I tried "child" after about the 5th try and was able to find it.
Oh and I was able to find the 2001 board by using the Wayback Machine. It was neat. Lots of Slinky's posts are there.

Bob, you want us to post to this thread, but its too damn long to figure out if something has already been discussed.
I strongly suggest you close the grief board and consolidate it into the social board. I posted on there in 2009 and can speak from experience. The low volume of posting there is worse than having no grief board at all.
