Oh I don't know what's on that wall. There seem to be some stones, what might be an old map, and some paintings. The only Canadians I know here are blokes (Linkadge, Larry), except for Gabbette, and then that other one who has mentioned changing her nationality.

Got a neighborhood watch here and my previous training taught me a lot about watching out for things. Maybe I'm tried of the old identify. You change I can too right? Phillipa

~~~ Sure you can change your posting name. You know it's allowed here so long as the policy is followed. I never heard you writing of considering changing before and I didn't think you liked that option very much...
Hi - I'm back from my holiday on the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, Canada. I'm on the right. Here's the link with photos of my Raku pottery decorational wall pouches. The one on the left is the one in photo, but is too small to see in photo.
I love that this photo is on PBAdmin because it reminds me of a wonderful day! Wonderful.
:-))
Good to be back. Had a great time; DH & I were at a cottage way out in the country. SO peaceful & quiet. There were tons of birds. My favourites of the ones we saw: hummingbirds & an indigo bunting.
Did anyone know cameras lie??
I am on the right.
I have dark brown hair with streaks of white (although, I admit, most of those are at the front).
I am between 110 & 115 pounds.
So I look like I have black hair & am fairly 'chunky'.
??? LOL
Gained a few pounds while on holiday - up to 115 now, which I'm glad about. I'm surprised at how the photo looks!!
What a lovely enjoyable day we spent.
I'd love to meet more babblers.
Hopefully the yearly meeting will be in Toronto again some time.
:-) Kath
But you (like me) are meant to be extremely old :)
Well, we're not extremely old, but I like saying I am.
Someone younger than me at the station dropped dead from a stroke.
I'm having my green tea, then off to Pilates where I can complain as much as the company will bear.
I went in with a friend to a chemist shop. He describes himself as 'extremely old'. The shop assistant said 'How can I help you?'. My friend (who doesn't know my history) said 'Sell us some heroin', which woke me up. She said 'I'm sorry I can't help you with that.' I said 'Well I do have a Valium script here.'
You look like the lovely person you are. Not chunky. Friendly and open, and straightforward. Me, I look like a pinhead with my short hair and larger than imagined body.
But we're all perfect. Lovely hugs. Great cups of tea. Endless conversations. Great garden. Fascinating pets! Supportive spouse. It couldn't have been better, and it shows in our photo - no magic here... just the great reality.
> Well, we're not extremely old, but I like saying I am.
~ ~ ~ I sorta like that - to say that I'm "extremely old"........lol Sort of like making lemonade or nice lemon pie out of lemons!
I never think of you as old. If I ever mention to my son's friends (all around early to mid-20's) that I'm 62 - which of course to them is ancient - they are QUITE unbelieving. I always ask them, 'so how old did you think I was' & they say early 50's. I always quite enjoy that!!!
> Someone younger than me at the station dropped dead from a stroke.
~ ~ That's sort of sobering! Green tea sounds healthy; unlike my Tim Horton's steeped tea with 3 CREAMS & 1 1/2 sugars. ;-)
And Pilates? Does that translate as the dreaded Exercise??? While DH & I were on holiday we decided to walk down the road to the harbour & it felt like a really good thing to do. I said to DH that when we got home, we should go for a quick, brisk walk around our block each day when he gets home from work. He agreed. I knew it's something that I would NOT want to do. So we've been home since Saturday & haven't walked & am I remining him? Nope! We generally go for a good treck in one of the many forests in the country nearby our town at least once each weekend, but during the week, forget it. I know I should get more exercise though. So what if you complain - at least you're THERE!!
xox Kath Hugs back.....I always love hugs.
I'd be okay with chunky! I'd like to have some extra pounds happening! It's funny how I think a lot of people tend to look at pictures of themself with such a critical eye! And how often in our pictures we might look different from how we think we look.
~ ~ That's a nice way to think of it - that we're all perfect just the way we are.
You & I were fortunate that we were able to have such a lovely day together for sure.
